Where Help Is Needed Most Fund
A gift to the Where Help Is Needed Most Fund is a simple and meaningful way to support MJHSF. The fund raises unrestricted dollars that can be used immediately for a wide range of needs, and that provide a reliable, steady source of funding for the programs that need it most.

Gifts to this fund of all sizes support:

    • Innovative patient care programs
    • Annual operating costs, such as funding for social worker positions
    • Treatment for patients unable to pay for the care they receive

MJHSF depends on the Where Help Is Needed Most Fund to fulfill its mission of providing compassionate patient care. Your monthly or annual contribution allows patient care at MJHS to continue to function at the high level that the community respects and deserves.

    Testimonials

"My mom always had family with her. I wanted to provide that same level of comfort and care to someone else. Volunteering is more than what I expected it to be...You don't realize before hand the relationships you will form and how important they will become. My patients have become a part of my life. I am always thinking about them because they are like my family" noted Cathy F. when asked why she volunteers.

"Although friends and family recommended the hospice program, the truth is, we really didn't understand how wonderful a service it is until we used it ourselves. I had been doing everything myself. Seymour's hospice team came to our home and promptly organized his medications. They also obtained a wheelchair and oxygen, recommended a chair for the bathtub and did many other helpful things. I particularly appreciated the focus on easing Seymour's pain and keeping him comfortable." —Esther R. wife of Hospice patient
