  • Pediatric Care

St. Mary’s Metropolitan Home Care for Kids provides pediatric home care for chronically ill children and young adults up to age 18, as well as care for expectant mothers and new mothers in need.

Additionally, St. Mary’s has partnered with the Metropolitan Jewish Healthcare System to provide maternal child health and pediatric healthcare services to children and families who require short-term home healthcare. Children are admitted to the program to treat chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes or asthma. All care is tailored to meet each child’s specific needs.

The program is committed to sharing in and shaping the experiences of mother and child as they begin a fulfilling journey together. Geared toward first-time mothers, the program highlights the importance of postpartum education by focusing on breastfeeding, treating illnesses, doctor visits, and socialization, and helping moms learn to cope with the new responsibility of motherhood. Caregivers extend physical and emotional support to mothers during and after pregnancy, and give families an opportunity to receive support and training.
