Established in memory of Louie, the Louis Arturo Rago Memorial Fund was created by his family in gratitude for the care he received from MJHS Pediatric Hospice.

The fund’s mission is to support children and families in need of pediatric hospice care, as well as the clinicians who care for them. It does this by strengthening community outreach, expanding education and providing training opportunities that enhance compassionate, specialized support.

Thanks to generous donors, nearly $75,000 has been raised to advance important initiatives that improve care for children facing serious illness.

Support from the fund has helped MJHS:

• Expand pediatric training for clinicians
• Provide agency-wide pediatric education
• Support pediatric nurse champions working directly with families
• Increase collaboration with pediatric health partners
• Enhance social work services in high-need communities

The Louis Arturo Rago Memorial Fund is a meaningful tribute to Louie’s life and helps ensure that other families receive the compassionate care they deserve. Every contribution supports this essential and growing movement to raise awareness for Pediatric Hospice Care and provide education for medical staff and social workers so they can better support families in their most vulnerable moments.
