Wine Tasting for Caregivers

Our wine-tasting event raises funds for the Golden Family STAR Fund, providing additional home health aide hours to family caregivers of loved ones in our hospice care program.

While hospice provides Home Health Aide support, it is often specific to the patient’s needs, not the caregivers. The STAR Fund allows additional hours for family caregivers to care for their own needs, such as respite, attending a family function, or catching up on house chores. Supporting caregivers is a critical yet often overlooked part of hospice care, and the STAR Fund helps close these gaps.

The MJHS Golden Family STAR program raises funds to provide extra HHA hours—beyond what insurance covers—for families in crisis with limited resources.
