Linda Schur Scalettar

Linda Schur Scalettar has more than 20 years of experience in development and community relations.

Prior to becoming Chief Development Officer of MJHS Foundation, Linda was Chief Advancement Officer of the Met Council and helped the organization raise more than $11 million through major gifts, grants and special events.

Earlier in her career, Linda served as the Director of Community Resources for AHRC Nassau and the Nassau County AHRC Foundation Inc. Prior to that, she supported the development departments at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital, in addition to advancing the efforts of corporate and community-based organizations.

Linda has a master’s degree in public administration from New York University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Chinwe Egonu, Prospect Researcher and Data Administrator of MJHS Foundation

Chinwe Egonu

Chinwe Egonu is MJHS Foundation’s Prospect Researcher and Data Administrator. In this role she identifies new private, corporate and philanthropic supporters. Her responsibilities include preparing detailed briefing materials and managing portfolios of prospective contributors; maintaining donor records; gift processing and acknowledgment; account reconciliation with the finance department; analytical and financial reporting; mailings; and maintenance. She also provides support to the Foundation’s fundraising events such as the Annual Employee Giving Campaign, Hospice on Broadway and the Annual Drive for the Future Golf.

Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the International Relations Coordinator for the Girl Scouts of the USA. Egonu also has worked as a Program Consultant for NetAid’s (now Mercy Corps) youth program and interned at the Jewish Child Care Association’s information technology department.

Egonu holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Bernard M. Baruch College. She also earned a master’s degree in public administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Dara K. Marsh, Development Events Specialist for MJHS Foundation

Dara K. Marsh

Dara K. Marsh is the Development Events Specialist for MJHS Foundation. In this role, she supports the execution of a multi-faceted development plan by assisting with planning, managing and executing MJHS Foundation-sponsored cultivation and fundraising events, including oversight of event logistics, establishing and maintaining vendor relationships, coordinating other MJHS department involvement, and reporting on event results. She also provides administrative support to the Foundation department in order to ensure all of our projects are completed successfully.

Dara has 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. From 2003 to 2011, she worked at Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, as team leader of the Donor Services Department. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the processing and acknowledgement of gifts $5,000 or greater. Most recently, Dara worked in the Development and Alumni Relations office of New York Law School, where she cultivated relationships with the school’s alumni at events and aided in the maintenance of their database.

Dara holds a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Purchase, a Master of Arts from NYU, and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Administration from Baruch College. She is also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an educational honor society, and serves on the board of a local young professionals’ organization.
